1. TIESWeb changes funding strategy
Progress is made of individual problems whose solution turns out to pave the way for large numbers of similar cases. Tiesweb Board believes that whether to continue or to stop Tiesweb activities beyond May 2005 may trigger a very useful debate about sustainable financing of Transatlantic Citizens Initiatives, while providing Tiesweb with a solution to its financing from May 2005 till May 2006 (cost: 25.000€ or $33,000).

2. EU Referenda - Newropeans launches Yes-But Campaign: 'Yes to the Constitution but with Democracy on top'
"In order to be able to tackle the question of EU democratisation then this Consitution must be behind us. If the No wins, it will be another 5 to 10 years of the same debates among our national elites, while the EU machinery will keep on moving with citizens unable to do anything about it." Therefore "Yes to the Constitution but with Democracy on top" will be the motto of the campaign recently launched by Newropeans - the first trans-European Citizen Movement - dedicated to promote a real open debate on the future of the European Union on the occasion of the EU referenda.
